متن کاملCharged-Current Interaction Measurements in MiniBooNE
Neutrino oscillation is the only known phenomenon for physics beyond the standard model. To investigate this phenomenon, the understanding of low energy neutrino scattering (200 < Eν < 2000 MeV) is the crucial task for high energy physicists. In this energy region, the charged current quasi-elastic (CCQE) neutrino interaction is the dominant process, and experiments require a precise model to p...
متن کاملNeutrino induced pion production at MiniBooNE and K2K energies
We investigate charged and neutral current neutrino-induced incoherent pion production off nuclei within the GiBUU model at energies relevant for the MiniBooNE and K2K experiments. Special attention is paid to the entanglement between measured CCQE and CC1π+ cross sections. We further give predictions and compare to recent data measured at MiniBooNE.
متن کاملExperimental status of neutrino scattering physics and needed measurements
Knowledge of neutrino interactions with a nuclear target at the neutrino energy around sub-GeV is recently getting more and more important as necessary information for accelerator based neutrino oscillation experiments. A study of neutrino interactions contains rich physics of neutrinos with nucleus, and is used to reveal the properties of neutrinos in the oscillation measurements. We review th...
متن کاملNeutral Current Π 0 Interactions at Miniboone
MiniBooNE, the Mini Booster Neutrino Experiment at Fermilab, will search for the appearance of electron neutrinos in a beam of muon neutrinos, and in the process will accumulate more neutrino interactions in the 0 − 2 GeV energy range than all past experiments. This work presents preliminary results from the neutral current π 0 analysis at MiniBooNE, with comparisons of the NUANCE, NEUGEN, and ...
